Aerotek is hiring for a Welder and Fabricator!

Job Description:

• We are looking for a talented Welder and Fabricator to become part of one of Rochester's most prestigious companies!

• The perfect candidate will have expertise in a range of welding techniques and equipment, with a particular emphasis on stainless steel and aluminum.

• This position requires performing both welding and fabrication duties, delivering high-quality and accurate results.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a variety of fabrication welding equipment such as band saws, cut-off saws, slitting saws, rollers, shears, brake presses, presses, pipe benders, lasers, plasma welders, and various power tools.

• Perform TIG and Stick welding primarily on stainless steel parts and piping.

• Weld materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.

• Weld in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.

• Carry out additional fitting and fabrication tasks as required throughout the facility.

Essential Skills:

• Efficient in TIG welding.

• Career experience with Stick welding.

• Knowledge on how to weld stainless steel and pipes.

• Knowledge of MIG & TIG welding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Experience with stainless steel welding, press brake, plasma cutting, and pipe fitting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Highly competent in mathematics.

• Experience in a variety of welding techniques such as GTAW (Gas Tig Arc Weld), GMAW (Gas Mig Arc Weld), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Weld), and SMAW (Stick Metal Arc Weld).

Work Environment:

• Primarily working in one main building within the park but will be expected to assist across the 11 different buildings as needed.

• The position is on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00
