JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly • Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed • Perform routine/scheduled audits of systems, including all backups • Maintain storage administration as well as availability • Forecast and perform capacity planning on compute and storage • Monitoring of all security appliances in accordance with daily security checks as well as quarterly and annual audit deliverables

Compensation:  The hourly pay for this role is $16.00 

WAGE AND HOURS:

Full time position. Hours to dependent on shift coverage for helpdesk between 7AM – 7PM Monday – Saturday. Forty-hour work week with potential overtime required

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree in Computer Science, Computer Technologies or similar experience. Experience with Microsoft tools, servers and PC’s. Proven work experience in medium to large IT environments. Background check required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on calls and with groups of users.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
