SUMMARY
Supply Chain Professional responsible for strategic sourcing management across capital, commodities, and purchased services system wide. Responsible for implementing and overseeing sourcing initiates for cost savings, standardization efforts and contract compliance.
ATTRIBUTES
- Must be knowledgeable and have experience in hospital purchasing, contract management, data collection, and financial analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools: Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- CMRP (Certified Materials & Resource Professional) Certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 7 years Supply Chain experience or related experience in contract and negotiations required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- PURCHASING & SAVINGS: Designs and implements strategies to capture and sustain purchasing savings in specific spend categories. Leads conversion opportunities with C-Suite, surgeons, clinical leadership and staff for new product, equipment and service implementations. Build consensus across the health system on new initiatives. Analyzes the total cost of ownership (TCO) for savings reduction opportunities.Gathers benchmarking data to highlight opportunities, validate pricing. Utilizes case volume to estimate utilization. Verifies spend and utilization data with natural owners to create buy-in. Identifies best practices for developing executable implementation plans. Provides structure and framework for developing category contracts.
- RELATIONSHIPS & SOURCING: Establishes key vendor relationships. Develops and executes RFP's when appropriate. Demonstrates highly effective executive communication and presentation skills of project deliverables. Develops key performance indicators. Demonstrates understanding of high level analytics. Monitors ongoing compliance for cost reduction initiatives. Ensures continual contract optimization. Monitors contract expirations and initiates renewals with stakeholders. Reviews contracts, redlines and manages associated timelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
