job description We are currently recruiting for a temp-hire Scale Operator to join our client's operations team. If you like working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, we have the role for you. Our client is looking to secure an individual that has excellent attention to detail, is accurate, able to manage multiple tasks at once, and deal with their customers in a professional and welcoming way. Your purpose is to accurately record weights and measures of inbound/outbound loads from various sources. Record credentials and process and validate payout transactions. You will utilize multiple computer screens, a paging system, and the scale. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who has been in hospitality, retail, or a service industry to secure a standard schedule!
Responsibilities Answers telephone Oversee scale operation Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, provide quality customer service Provide recycling information to customers Transaction computer entries Prepare daily/weekly ATM and cash reports Balance and handle cash drawer on a daily basis Compiles and fax weights shipped to customers post shipments as per customer expectations Education
High school diploma or equivalent Experience
Computer competency Excel & Word Weights and measures background a plus Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Organizational skills Basic mathematical skills Exceptional customer service skills Strong communication skills Professional conduct Multitasker Valid driver's license **Pre-employment requirements are a physical, background and drug test.
