People Inc. RECEPTIONIST in ROCHESTER, New York
Description
Rate of Pay: $15-$16.50
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSILITIES:
Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards them to appropriate personnel
Answers incoming telephone calls determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
Takes and delivers messages, transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
Warmly welcomes on-site visitors, secure lobby by appropriate actions, verifies purpose of visit, and announces visitors to the appropriate personnel
Answer questions about organization and provide information
Updates room schedule and calendars using Xibo Digital Signage Board
Receives deliveries, sort mail and distributes to departments as needed
Performs clerical duties as needed, such as photocopying, process mailing, or other special projects
Responsible for forwarding night phone messages and faxes to appropriate person
Responsible for opening and closing switchboard reception desk each morning and evening
Complies with all agency policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED and one-year related experience and/or training for equivalent combination of education and experience OR associate’s degree OR six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
