Description We are in search of a diligent Receptionist for our non-profit organization based in Rochester, New York, United States. This role provides an opportunity to manage client interaction and ensure smooth office operations. The Receptionist will be tasked with managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and performing various clerical tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome and attend to guests and clients in a detail oriented manner.
• Handle incoming telephone calls, route them to the appropriate staff.
• Schedule and organize appointments efficiently.
• Perform administrative tasks such as faxing and filing documents.
• Use Microsoft Office tools, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, to carry out tasks effectively.
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities.
• Ensure accurate and timely communication, both written and verbal. Requirements • The applicant should have a basic understanding of the operational procedures of non-profit organizations.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for document creation, editing, and formatting is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for managing emails, calendars, and meetings is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
• Previous experience in a receptionist role or a customer service environment is preferred.
• The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly is a must.
• The candidate should exhibit a detail-oriented demeanor and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in handling office equipment, like fax machines, printers, etc., is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is a minimum educational requirement.
