Adecco is actively recruiting for a Quality Engineer in Rochester, NY. Our client is a global manufacturing company that specializes in the production of medical devices. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through the development and implementation of robust quality control processes. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality enhancement.

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer in Rochester, NY :

  • Quality Control:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product compliance with industry standards and specifications

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement in the production process

  • Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve overall product quality

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection findings

  • Generate detailed reports on quality performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement

Root Cause Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for product defects or quality issues

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Supplier Quality Management

  • Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and customer support teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle

  • Provide guidance on quality requirements during new product development

Training and Education for the Quality Engineer in Rochester, NY :

  • Conduct training sessions for production and quality control teams to enhance their understanding of quality standards and procedures

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and communicate relevant updates to the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in quality tools and statistical analysis

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
