Hannah Savage with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity with her client for a Procurement/Warehouse Manager in the non-profit sector, based in Rochester, New York. The role involves overseeing procurement processes, managing warehouse operations, and coordinating construction projects. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to enhance material availability and reduce costs

• Coordinate material ordering for various job sites

• Implement and continually improve an organized warehouse layout and tracking system

• Enhance the construction materials control system

• Utilize Just in Time methodology to maintain optimal inventory levels

• Account for materials and resources effectively and manage all supply chains

• Ensure necessary materials are available at construction sites

• Monitor construction schedules and address any potential obstacles or issues

• Maintain inventory accuracy and complete all relevant paperwork on time, including accurate accounting of materials

• Conduct material cost analyses

• Receive deliveries, manage inventory, perform stocking functions, and disburse materials

• Maintain a safe and OSHA-compliant warehouse environment

• Secure warehouse, materials, and tools from theft

• Lead volunteer teams in managing the warehouse and distributing materials

• Assist in maintaining the scope of work, budget, and timeline for each building project

• Solve problems efficiently to ensure forward progress on complex projects

• Identify, document, and communicate issues and opportunities to the Construction Director

• Research new building products and best practices

• Participate in special projects as required

• Foster community relationships with vendors, volunteers, and homeowners

• Share knowledge and best practices for continuous improvement of operations

• Collaborate in a team environment with other construction personnel

• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement and warehouse operations

• Demonstrated proficiency in budget processes and financial management

• Proven experience in procurement, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services

• Solid understanding of asset inventory management, with the ability to track and report on inventory levels

• Experience in project management, with the ability to oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion

• Strong skills in vendor management, including building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and service providers

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with procurement software

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
