The Pike Company Payroll Coordinator in Rochester, New York
Pike Construction Services is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to assist and support payroll activities for the company. This in-office position will be reporting out of our corporate office in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have payroll experience, be highly reliable and contribute to the accurate and timely processing of payroll and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
assisting in accurate and timely weekly payroll processing.
maintaining up-to-date payroll records and process changes as needed as well as prepare and distribute paychecks.
setting up and maintaining employee files, creating weekly certified payroll and monthly utilization reports and prepare payroll tax reports.
responding to unemployment claims and processing employment verifications.
setting up and maintaining employee files, administering the New York State (NYS) Wage Theft Act, and reporting new hire notifications to NYS.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, required.
Experience with union payroll, payroll tax preparation, multi-state payroll, in-house payroll, and construction payroll, helpful.
Familiarity with CMiC software, helpful.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Excel, Outlook and Teams, required.

The base hourly range for this position is $18.75 - $25.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire hourly ranges for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
