Compensation Range:

$95,300.00 - $143,000.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Plans, directs and coordinates institution wide policies and activities related to information system initiatives supporting divisions of the University. Develops, directs and implements enterprise wide information systems plans and initiatives. Directs and supervises staff and resources to assure efficient and effective operations.Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE: The Organizational IT Change & Training Manager serves as the accountable leader for organizational change, communications & training services, supervising staff and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role provides oversight for multiple, simultaneous projects and programs to ensure that projects and initiatives reach their full potential and that all impacted business, financial, operational and other stakeholders are prepared for and embrace change. This role will interface between teams and governance groups to communicate executive-level program and project information for planning, budgeting, metrics, and process improvement. This role will focus on the people side of change, as it related to changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organization structures. Directs team on the application of appropriate change management strategies to different project scenarios based on objectives, delivery timeframes, and project team composition that minimize resistance and maximize engagement to ensure that users are engaged, prepared to transition to the initiative and reinforce sustainable change. Coaches, mentors, and manages a team on methodologies and techniques used in Organizational Change management and training delivery. Tracks, reports, recommends, and implements recommendations needed to improve upon change management delivery. Additionally, this position will collaborate with Project Portfolio Office to ensure that all delivery coming out of the program is in line with the project governance. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains portfolio summary for team and acts as liaison to Project Portfolio Office and portfolio service line leadership for organizational change, training and communication management activities. Fosters alignment of portfolio components (projects, programs, operations) with the strategic objectives and priorities of the organization. Facilitates IT governance processes to support effective decision making. Serves as initial escalation point for change, communications and training analysts and stakeholders. Coaches and mentors team members on appropriate use of various methodologies. Performs continuous analysis and monitoring of portfolio components to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provides senior level change management skills, as needed, for select projects to supplement team capacity. Facilitates project and team meetings using effective meeting techniques for objectives, agendas, participants, and meeting minutes. Manages all phases of assigned tasks/projects, meets established deadlines, and maintains flexibility and professionalism while managing multiple priorities. This includes such areas as: - Develops and executes against a comprehensive, actionable, and targeted change management plan surrounding change to people, processes, workflows and systems; applies a structured approach and methodology for the five change management domains related to the people-side of change including stakeholder analysis, coaching plans, communications, training, and resistance management plans. - Develops and conducts readiness assessments, analyzes results, and presents findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner to sponsors and stakeholders. - Collaborates with Project Manager to integrate change management plans/activities into overall project plan. Works as a member of project leadership team, ensuring change management strategy is at the forefront of project activities, and that impact to the stakeholders is continually evaluated and acted upon to minimize stakeholder resistance. - Ensures assigned projects meets business, schedule and budget objectives for change management activities. - In full project engagements, plays a key role in business process workshops to understand the current and future state business processes; assesses the change impacts on the organization and roles, and leads or partners with a Communications lead to ensure targeted messaging accurately describes the change to appropriate audiences. - Partners with training experts to develop a training program that ensures end users are engaged, knowledgeable and able to adopt change during the implementation phase. - Leads the team in identifying measurement methodologies to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes, and adjusts change management strategies and tactics as necessary. Issues regular reports to project leadership, escalating risks that may lead to an unsuccessful launch of projects, and puts forward a plan to mitigate. Manages a team of organizational change, communications and training analysts in support of execution of technology projects within assigned portfolio. Manages and maintain team operational resource calendars in support of capacity and resource management activities. Champions for continuous improvement. Participates in recruiting new staff and provides input into hiring decisions, trains and coaches new team member, provides ongoing daily supervision, manages employee relations such as disciplinary action and performance management discussions and conducts performance reviews. Creates, consolidates, and maintains methodology tools and templates for the team. Adds content specific as needed to assist in scope, risk, and issue management. Mentors junior analysts with project tools and templates. Conducts regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions with project managers and other team members related to project work. General/Professional Growth: - Keeps abreast of industry standards, practices and new technologies to enhance key stakeholder satisfaction with Information Technology Services. Serves as an active member of the Management team. Serves on committees and attends meetings as requested. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in communications, organizational development, behavioral psychology, business, or related field required; - Graduate degree preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience with both theoretical and practical aspects of establishing and implementing organizational change management and support in a project implementation context required - or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. - 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred - Experience with higher education, larger medical center or large complex and distributed enterprise. Experience working with consulting resources preferred. - Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, including active listening and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences preferred. - Strong group facilitation skills with demonstrated experience turning working session notes into high-quality deliverables preferred. - Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal preferred. - Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, colleagues, and staff preferred. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team; ability to work collaboratively with and through others preferred. - Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges preferred. - Strong organizational problem solving and root cause identification skills preferred. - Strong customer focus and excellence in relationship management with key partners preferred. - Prosci Organizational Change Management certification preferred.
