Hours : Saturday-Wednesday; 7:00a-3:30pm; with some need for flexibility to support business needs

Objective:

Perform a variety of Materials Management tasks including but not limited to the following: Receiving transactions, material putaway, materials movement, inventory transactions, and cycle counting. This role will involve support of and rotation among the Receiving/Warehouse/Plant Inventory groups.

Job Duties:

  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip to purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment. Inspects shipments for damage or rejects. Material movement is done with a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or manually.

  • Record receiving quantity and complete inventory process (where applicable), physically and systemically.

  • Systemically execute basic transactions for non-inventory business units.

  • Deliver items to requisitioner and obtain acceptance verification.

  • Put away items in plant inventory locations.

  • Perform cycle counts and reconciliations in a timely manner in both Plant Inventory and in the Component warehouses.

  • Observe company Safety rules. Practice good housekeeping. Keep Current with training requirements through online Compliance Wire system.

  • Obtain required background check and training for unescorted access to TSA shipping area for deliveries and FedEx pickup support.

  • Forklift license required within 30 days of hire. Screen for forklift medical requirements prior to hiring. (Hearing, blood pressure, sight).

  • Perform basic component material transactions: bin-to-bin transfers, putaways, miscellaneous receipts/issuances.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated clerical and organizational skill.

  • 1-2 years of related receiving experience preferred.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For New York State, the range of starting hourly pay for this role is $14.93 – $20.19 per hour.
