Job Description

We are looking for a Machine Operator with experience in machine operation, blueprint reading, and manufacturing. The role involves assembling smaller magnets into larger units and slicing them to meet specific customer requirements. It also includes setting up and operating various machine tools to perform general machining, assembly, and hand operations, as well as constructing, modifying, and repairing patterns, tools, fixtures, and equipment based on blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Glue smaller magnets into a larger magnet and slice them to meet customer specifications.

• Perform ordinary setups and operate various machine tools.

• Conduct general machining, assembly, and hand operations.

• Construct, alter, and repair patterns, tools, fixtures, and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experienced in machine operating

• Ability to read blueprints

• Prior manufacturing experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with grinding

• CNC Mill operation

• CNC Lathe operation

• Ability to assist higher grade machinists on tooling operations

Work Environment

• This position has openings on the2nd shift (2:45pm-12:15am Monday-Thursday and 2:45pm-6:45pm on Fridays unless mandatory overtime, in which case 8 hours on Friday).

• The work environment is climate-controlled, but you may be exposed to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive, and other chemicals.

• All safety precautions will be used. The work area may have excessive noise.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00
