Job Description:
The L3Harris Communication Systems segment is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Lead Software Engineer well versed in the leadership and design of large software applications to join an experienced Agile engineering organization that delivers leading edge tactical applications. The individual will work in a team environment to help win new business through technical proposals and estimations, design for large-scale data handling, communicate and integrate with external Government groups, contribute to the implementation and integration of scalable/secure application software solutions, and support end-user engagement feedback. This lead SW engineer will help develop creative solutions for our customer's problems. As a technical and team leader of the staff, the successful candidate will demonstrate initiative in the efficient development of complex systems throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will be expected to possess a thorough understanding of technical challenges including both the development methods as well as enforcing organizational behaviors to ensure quality. Experience with high-level programming languages such as .NET or Java is expected.
Essential Functions:
Leadership of the entire product implementation cycle including system/software requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, implementation, automated testing, integration, documentation
Leadership of multiple scrum teams within same program
Detailed understanding and knowledge of best practices for application software design, code development processes, release processes and scrum methodology
Ability to manage and make trade-offs between product recurring cost, budget, schedule and technical solution
Effective interpersonal skills, ability to convey technical and business matters in a clear and logical manner to technical teams, leadership teams, program teams, external vendors, and Government customers
Support and author new business technical proposals, presentations, prototypes, and demonstrations
Support technical recruiting, technical onboarding, and technical mentoring
Secret Clearance required to support Information Assurance activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related software experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Agile scrum master certifications or experience
Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts
Experience with Capability Maturity Model (CMM)/Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) systems and software development processes
Project Management experience
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $112,500 - $209,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
