Responsible for providing patient care of a technical nature as a member of the Cardiac Procedural Team. Performs set up and operation of intra-aortic balloon pump in the Operating Room, ED and Cardiac Cath Lab. Assists the Cardiac Team in the daily functioning of the Cardiology procedure rooms. Is cooperative, courteous and helpful to all members of the hospital team/OR staff as well as patients and family members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides technical care as an intraoperative team member in accordance with hospital policy/procedures and with departmental, area and national standards.
- Performs operational assistance and set up of intra balloon pump on critical patients as needed.
- Performs the duties of an IABP Technician according to departmental policy and procedures with 1% accuracy as documented by DON/Chief CT.
- Provides an "On Call" service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for IABP.
- Provides an "on call" services per Human Resource Guidelines 1% of the time as documented by DON
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Operating Room
SCHEDULE: M-F Days, plus on-call, which may include Evenings, Overnights, Weekends
ATTRIBUTES
- High School graduate or graduate of an approved school for cardiovascular technology, preferred
- 1-3 years of previous experience
- Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills
PAY RANGE: $18.75 - $25.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
