Job Title: HVAC Installer
Job Description
The Commercial Install Technician is responsible for the maintenance and installation of various HVAC systems. Utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. Installers will work with sheet metal, piping, and refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities
Maintain and install various HVAC systems.
Utilize knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.
Work with sheet metal, piping, and refrigeration systems.
Essential Skills
HVAC Install experience (Commercial or Residential)
Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
Ability to read blueprints/schematics
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 and EPA Certification preferred
Experience with mechanical systems, refrigeration, HVAC equipment, boilers, ductwork, and sheet metal
Proficiency in plumbing, pipefitting, construction, service, and controls

Work Environment
Our client follows a 'Hire for attitude, train for skill' motto. The company comprises 23 people and is looking to grow. Employees drive themselves to job sites within a 30-mile radius of Rochester, NY. Work hours are typically 7 AM - 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break. Entry-level candidates undergo an orientation to familiarize them with the company, industry, and health and safety policies. They provide certifications, education, and training in areas such as OSHA, refrigeration, welding, pipefitting, and sheet metal. Mid to upper-level candidates also undergo an orientation to get accustomed to company policies, procedures, and health and safety rules. Training in purchasing, bidding, estimating, and more will be provided to those who show long-term commitment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire of 6 months position based out of Rochester, New York.
