Nick Pignato with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist in Rochester, New York. The role will primarily involve full-cycle payroll processing for a team of 85 employees, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and onboarding. The HR Generalist will also be in charge of updating and implementing company-wide policies/procedures and working on special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle payroll processing for a team of 85 employees using Paycom.

• Processing necessary paperwork for disability, FMLA, PFL, and other related areas.

• Handling employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.

• Overseeing onboarding tasks, including setting up orientations, hiring, and termination processes.

• Updating and implementing company-wide policies and procedures.

• Working closely with the HR director on any other special projects.

• Administration of Human Resources functions.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role

• Proven experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Extensive knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices

• Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Familiarity with labor laws and employment equity regulations

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

• Professional certification in Human Resources (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations with grace and diplomacy

• Experience with HR software, including HRIS and HRMS, is an advantage.
