Description
The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Aging is seeking an Assistant Professor Medicine
Duties as a faculty member may at times include any combination of patient care, teaching, research or other forms of scholarship, administrative duties, community outreach, and University-related public service. The exact distribution of these responsibilities will vary from time to time according to University and Department needs, your interests, and your career trajectory. In general, we expect that you will be a productive member of the University community, whether productivity is measured by patient care, research or scholarship, teaching, administrative and/or public service.
Specific clinical care: provide care to patients that reside in the University of Rochester skilled nursing facilities or those contracted with UR Medicine Geriatrics Group and assisted living/independent living sites covered by UR Medicine Geriatrics Group. You will share work equitably with other geriatricians in the division. You may also provide consultative care to older adults in other University care settings such as other sites that align with the Division’s mission and vision to collaborate with subspecialists on the care of older adults.
Qualifications
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Eligible for Board Certification in Geriatrics/Family Medicine/Internal Medicine
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
