Our client is recruiting an Analyst to work in Information Technology to support project activities to support information systems with a focus on Academic Advising activities. On a day to day this person will work on the design documentation, requirement analysis/documentation, business process analysis/documentation, configuration, testing strategy and use case development, administration, maintenance, support implementation planning and security compliance analysis of business systems and enabling technologies in support of specific systems.

This person needs to reside in NYS. 100% remote.

This candidate will be the primary resource providing business analysis, administration, maintenance and support services for the Student Information Systems across non-production and production application environments, working with various technical and functional personnel as needed. They'll design, develop, document, test, implement, administer, maintain, and support upgrade activities for student information system application software. They'll work with users to understand, document, and enhance business processes and supporting documentation to meet user and business needs. Aid in coordination of support/development/administration resources. Guide evaluation and testing of new procedures and software. Create procedures to maintain applications, system documents and programs. Work with users to understand and document business requirements. Assist in the translation of the business requirements into configurable software components and rules. Support system design reviews and code walkthroughs. Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure conformance to departmental/corporate standards and procedures. Guide execution of testing. Work closely with functional and technical testers on the preparation of test plans, test data, and integrated testing. Maintain a broad knowledge of the student information system and business analysis disciplines, related best practices, and related technologies. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
