Mary Cariola Children's Center FACILITIES COORDINATOR in Rochester, New York

Pay Range: $ $18.00- $21.00/per hour (Actual pay rate is based on relevant experience and education.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receipt and Distribution of Supplies

  • Receives and inspects purchases, verifies supporting documentation and sends to the Buyer or Account Clerk

  • Examines inventory and submits order forms to Buyer or Account Clerk.

  • Distributes purchased items per Supply or Grocery Requisitions.

  • Organizes and restocks paper supply cabinets throughout school buildings.

  • Fulfills school staff lamination requests.

Building Maintenance

  • Maintain the safe condition of school common areas and hallways by conducting quarterly safety walk throughs and mitigation efforts.

  • Dispose or take items to storage as necessary.

  • Clean and stock agency conference rooms. Request supplies when needed.

  • Set up and break down rooms for special events.

  • Ensures laundry machines are functioning properly and maintain detergent inventory.

Transportation and School Vehicles

  • Daily delivery of interoffice mail and supplies between campuses (at times using personal vehicles. Mileage reimbursement provided with proper documentation.)

  • Assist in transport of student records as necessary.

  • Prepare vehicles for safe usage by assisting in cleaning, snow removal, and refueling as necessary.

  • Move vehicles between campuses as necessary.

  • Coordinate daily arrival and dismissal of buses in all types of weather conditions (heat, wind, rain, snow, etc). Staff may receive a small stipend to purchase weather appropriate gear.

Move Coordination

  • Facility Coordinators play a vital role during any moves that occur, including but not limited to moves within the current building, across buildings, across campuses, or to new campus locations.

  • Move coordination includes:

  • Lifting

  • Carrying

  • Loading and Unloading

  • Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders/vendors

  • Taking direction from a variety of sources

  • Multiple trips between destinations and repeated physical tasks as outlined above (lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, etc)

Other Duties

  • Perform emergency response duties as assigned.

  • Assist in classrooms as requested.

  • Carry out any other related activities as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Applicant must be able to demonstrate they have achieved a Local/Regents High School diploma or Equivalency Diploma issued by a local school district or State Education Department. This achievement will be verified directly with the issuing entity.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Measurement competence is preferred.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record according to Mary Cariola Center guidelines.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have reliable vehicle and the ability to be flexible. Must be able to work effectively with children with disabilities as needed.
