Paychex Employment Law Compliance Analyst II in Rochester, New York
Overview
Provides strong compliance support to internal business partners. Ensures timely and accurate problem resolution while mitigating risk exposure.
Responsibilities
Track and summarize legislative and regulatory developments in the employment law space at federal, state, local levels, i.e., wage/hour, anti-discrimination, paid leaves, labor, pay equity, immigration, etc.
Maintain data repositories that reflect both current and YTD metrics on legislative and regulatory tracking.
May review and recommend changes to internal/external communications, advertising, marketing, and training materials, to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and/or accuracy with client facing HR-related product/services.
Conducts research on complex compliance risk-centric issues impacting Paychex products and services, Recommends changes to products or services based on research and analysis.
Develops and maintains constructive, influential relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure compliance needs are properly communicated and executed.
Serves as subject matter expert on assigned Paychex products and services, including laws/regulations, enacted and proposed legislation, official guidance, trends, and industry best practices applicable to assigned area of responsibility.
Develops actionable, comprehensive risk analysis on complex regulatory and other compliance matters.
Makes recommendations to compliance leadership and business management to help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local regulatory requirements and company risk tolerance.
Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.
Qualifications
+ + Bachelor's Degree (concentration/significant coursework in HR Management, Legal Studies, Compliance or related area of study)
Advanced Degree with concentration/experience in labor and employment laws - Preferred
Experience in HR Management applying federal/state employment laws and/or reviewing federal/state legislation
Proficiency with MS Office, OneNote, SharePoint and legislative research tools - Required
Demonstrated writing and editing skills - Required (A writing sample may be requested)
SHRM Certification - preferred

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $69,930 - $109,890. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
