Description We are offering an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative role based in Rochester, New York, in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will involve handling customer inquiries and maintaining customer relationships in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring they feel supported and valued.

• Utilize job-specific tools and databases effectively when addressing various customer topics.

• Proactively engage with customers to assess their needs and make appropriate recommendations for products or services.

• Actively listen to customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing escalated situations as needed.

• Build strong rapport with customers and lasting relationships with team members based on trust and reliability.

• Maintain a consistent level of excellent customer service while striving to meet or exceed call center metrics.

• Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, and services.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action. Requirements • Proficient in customer service management and practices

• Excellent knowledge of waste, refuse, and environmental waste management industry

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm

• Proficient in relevant computer applications

• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

• Ability to adapt to different types of characters and situations

• Proven problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent education level

• Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
