Robert Half Collections Representative in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Representative in Rochester, New York. This role involves performing soft collections on outstanding receivables while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Carry out soft collections and communicate with customers via various channels to follow up on overdue invoices in a respectful and customer-focused manner.

• Review and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and maintain accurate customer records.

• Document all collection activities, customer interactions, and payment commitments to ensure transparency.

• Collaborate with credit analysts to evaluate customer payment trends and refine credit terms and account strategies.

• Work together to resolve complex payment issues including but not limited to disputes or escalations.

• Maintain a detail oriented and empathetic approach to addressing customer concerns and inquiries about account status, billings, and payments.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and demonstrating a commitment to finding a mutually beneficial solution.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Ensure a positive experience for customers through the collections process. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with Invoice preparation and management

• Familiarity with Payment Processing procedures

• Understanding of Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word

• Ability to Review and analyze financial data

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

• Background in Finance

• Familiarity with Collection Processes

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks

• Understanding of Credit procedures

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience in Customer Account management

• Ability to perform Cash Flow Analysis

• Experience in Dispute Resolution

• Knowledge of Overdraft procedures

• A Plus certification is a bonus

• Experience in a B2B Environment

• Skills in Credit Analysis

• Detail Oriented Demeanor

• Ability to Resolve Complex financial issues

• Understanding of Credit Terms
