The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes problems, provides program specifications, and develops or modifies programs.Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining homegrown software solutions. Familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle and is comfortable performing the development, testing, documenting, and maintenance phases. Works closely with the project director and other team members in requirements gathering, system architecture design, deployment, and end-user training. Acts as a point of contact on multiple projects and updates the project director on completed tasks, project statuses, and project timelines. Performs analysis and programming, addressing challenging tasks and supporting team processes. RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Design - Works with the project director and end-users to understand project requirements; consults with end-users as appropriate to assess needs - Uses in-depth technical knowledge to develop innovative design plans and presents them to the project director - Through experience and research, assists in determining project scope and deadlines - Analyzes how a new solution interacts with or enhances existing solutions and how future solutions may benefit from the design - Researches and tests coding techniques - Determines what resources will be necessary, i.e. databases, storage, servers Project Development and Testing - Creates solutions based on project scope and requirements - Adheres to established coding standards (provided) - Document code according to standards (provided) - Integrates necessary frameworks and interfaces - Effectively tests code to produce stable results that match specifications Maintenance and Upgrades - Builds modifications based on project director and end-users feedback - Works with the lead to determine the scope of the upgrade - Handles software issues and bugs at a project level Deployment and Training - Configures database and web serves to the project's specification - Deploys solutions for end-user utilization and assists with end-user training - Regression tests all affected systems after deployment to determine success Continuing Education - Maintains current knowledge base and expertise relative to the technology and software used by related to the EHR and functional areas being supported Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required; - Master's Degree preferred. - 3-4 years of related experience required; - 1-2 years in a supervisor capacity preferred; - Or equivalent combination of education and experience required. - Experience with web programming languages such as ASP.NET/C# or equivalent (PHP, Java, Python, Ruby or Node.js) required. - Experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android) or cross-platform development tools (Flutter, Xamarin or React Native) preferred - Familiarity with relational database concepts and experience with a modern DBMS such as Microsoft SQL or equivalent (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) required. - Experience with web servers, web services and source control required.
