Robert Half Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist I (Tier II) in ROCHESTER, New York. This role primarily functions in the industry of financial services and involves resolving past due balances from clients, making decisions on high-risk accounts, and maintaining daily contact with clients. This position is a hybrid role, with the possibility of working from home or in-office two to three times per week.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls to address and resolve past due balances

• Initiate outbound calls to clients with outstanding receivables based on risk assessment

• Evaluate and decide whether to release or hold at-risk accounts following established policies and procedures

• Conduct research on returned Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) transactions to recollect owed funds

• Escalate high-risk accounts to internal collection agency as needed

• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve client issues and ensure timely collection on account

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit and process credit applications efficiently

• Ensure all branches and clients are supported with a high degree of quality service

• Adhere to daily call requirements based on provided forecasts to meet standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management and Collection Processes

• Demonstrated knowledge of Procedures and Policy implementation related to accounts receivable

• Strong understanding of Quality Service principles and their application in a financial environment

• Experience with Research Analysis techniques and their application in collection processes

• Proficiency in handling Funds and implementing Mitigation strategies in case of discrepancies

• Ability to perform Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and other related financial operations

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on analysis

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
