Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Rochester, New York. This role is vital in the finance industry, ensuring the accurate processing and recording of the company's payable data. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be an integral part of our financial team, contributing to the smooth running of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording transactions accurately and timely as part of the accounts payable function.

• Reconciling accounts and ensuring all financial data are up-to-date.

• Managing check runs and ensuring payments are completed and processed accurately.

• Coding invoices correctly to ensure proper financial recording.

• Performing data entry tasks related to the accounts payable function.

• Processing invoices efficiently, verifying and reconciling invoice discrepancies.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks.

• Maintaining a high level of organization to ensure files and invoices are easily accessible.

• Resolving accounts payable issues with vendors and ensuring good relationships are maintained.

• Continually improving the process of accounts payable, making recommendations for efficiency where possible. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong skills in Data Entry and Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Understanding of basic accounting principles

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
