Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Rochester, New York. This role involves handling the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department and offering customer service to internal business partners. The position is set in a dynamic department with potential for career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Handling the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department.

• Ensuring daily processes and controls are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Providing customer service to internal business partners.

• Assisting with internal and external audits as required.

• Sorting, logging, and filing invoices, checks, and other documents.

• Managing the distribution of daily department mail.

• Verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling.

• Resolving Accounts Payable issues and processing expense reports.

• Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger.

• Undertaking special projects as assigned. Requirements • Possess profound knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in using MS Excel for data management and financial analysis

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous

• Prior experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry is desirable

• Excellent numerical proficiency and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Proficient in English language for effective communication

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and best practices

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
