ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Finance Supervise accounting staff. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare necessary support for general ledger monthly closing, grant tracking and reporting, and medical billing through 3rd party vendor. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare monthly restricted fund tracking worksheet & supporting documentation. Assist VP Finance and Administration to provide timely and detailed analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial trends, and maintain the credibility of the Finance department. Assist VP Finance and Administration to develop budgets, including the annual budget. Manage the annual audit process, including coordinating with the Audit committee. Ensure adherence to all financial Internal Control policies and procedures throughout the organization. Prepare filings, correspondence & maintain records for requests related to all Federal and State governmental and regulatory agencies. Represents the Finance department at special events as requested by Development. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws. Other duties as assigned by VP Finance and Administration.

Agency Leadership Act as member of Extended Leadership Team. Attend Extended Leadership Team meetings and other ad hoc meetings convened by the VP Finance and Administration or the CEO.

General Staff Requirements Regularly attend Staff Meetings. Maintain high level of confidentiality with respect to patient/family information, donor identity information and agency financials. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies and work procedures and instructions. Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with five (5) years accounting experience, preferably with a non-profit organization. Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. Medical billing and reporting experience preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Must have high-level advanced Excel proficiency.

Proficient in accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and efficiently manage ones time to accomplish required tasks.

Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations.

Outstanding computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills.

Ability to work flexible hours and to travel locally.
