"Job#: 2045095 Job Description: Job Title: Workstation Support SpecialistSummary:The Workstation Support Specialist collaborates with various business units to ensure the efficient receipt, configuration, scheduling, and installation of hardware and software. This role involves on-site installation, customer service, technical support, and equipment relocation, while also serving as a liaison with other support services. The specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory, managing parts, and ensuring compliance with IT Security policies.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Workstation Support Services business units to manage hardware and software orders.Ensure equipment is labeled according to Mayo specifications.Research, verify, and document device specifications according to purchase orders and Mayo standards.Work with service and business units to relocate equipment as requested by departments.Provide on-site installation, customer service, and technical installation and/or repair support.Serve as a technical and equipment liaison in the field, collaborating with other support services (e.g., Help Desk, Applications, Materials Management).Assist with end-user training and explain basic concepts and procedures.Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for installations or repair requests.Collaborate with other IT Infrastructure areas to manage parts inventory.Evaluate and process equipment according to IT Security policy and guidelines.Participate in overtime and on-call duties as required.Requirements:High School Diploma and 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC, Macintosh, desktop computing hardware, and peripheral equipment, including knowledge of Operating Systems and configuration, hardware configuration, and software installation.OR Associates degree OR two years of Technical School training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
