Responsibilities

The Vice Chair of Strategy Consulting is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic consulting services within the Strategy Consulting Community. This position plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and its clients by providing expert guidance on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and business transformations. This individual is responsible for modeling behaviors associated with high-performing teams, including: positive teamwork, transparency, communication, engagement, diversity of thought and a continuous improvement mindset.

This role requires a strategic and analytical thinker with exceptional leadership skills, deep health industry knowledge and a proven track record in healthcare consulting, strategy development, optionality and scenario analysis and data analytics. Individuals must serve as a thought leader in developing innovative solutions to key strategic and operational issues, develop and present recommendations to senior leadership, challenge the status quo and implement solutions and programs to advance departmental and organizational priorities.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations that drive business success while ensuring that their strategic needs are understood and met. This individual must also demonstrate excellence in financial management, communication (e.g., verbal, written and presentations), business and strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting.

*This position is 100% remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least ten years of experience with a focus on strategy, client services, management consulting, project management, health care, or operations.

• Resilient change agent comfortable thriving in ambiguity. Capable of working autonomously with minimal direction and under pressure.

• Proven ability to successfully undertake and execute multiple large and complex initiatives simultaneously.

• Skilled in identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risks to ensure business continuity.

• Ability to interpret financial statements and perform complex data analytics.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications

• Five years of people leadership experience preferred.

• Strong alignment with Mayo's core values.

• Ability to manage complex projects and drive cross-functional collaboration.

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide large teams.

• Track record of effective resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and budget resources.

• Demonstrated excellence in using data and analytics to drive operational decisions, including experience with relevant software and tools.

• Excellent communication, network and influencer skills, including the ability to work effectively in a collaborative matrix management environment.

• A track record of driving innovation in operational processes and the ability to adopt new technologies and practices to improve operations.

• Relationship-oriented, high-performing individual with a strong balance of emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence.

• Demonstrated history of successfully navigating a sophisticated, consensus-driven environment that prioritizes and anticipates exceptional performance.

• Ability to identify high-potential individuals and create tailored development plans.

• Experience in developing and managing budgets related to staffing and workforce planning initiatives.

Compensation Detail

$226,137.60 - $339,185.60 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
