Benchmark Electronics Supervisor, Facility Maintenance in Rochester, Minnesota

Summary: Supervises all facility technicians and the coordination of grounds keeping and custodial staff. Manages all facility maintenance systems within the operating unit(s). Responsibilities: * Plan, coordinate and schedule daily maintenance operation to ensure that facilities are ready for daily operations * Plan, review and schedule plant rearrangement efforts * Supervise routine preventative maintenance and periodic check of power HVAC, fire protection systems etc. * Direct normal and off-hour emergencies such as snow removal, building system failures and roof leaks * Assist in budget development * Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of new plant engineering techniques by way of contracts with other industries, current publications and membership in professional societies/organizations * Work with Advanced Technologies in new equipment qualifications * Work with vendors setting up needed equipment * Responsible for work order accountability * Utilize project management skills when involved with multiple projects and show the ability to delegate tasks and drive on-time completion * Responsible for building security, such as distribution of keys, enforcement of security procedures, arming and disarming training and card access system * Schedule custodial services * Hazardous waste management handling and contingency plan duties * All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction. Other information: * Comprehend OSHA standards in regard to performing work duties * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Effective interpersonal skills * Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required * Effective organization and prioritization skills * Demonstrate high attention to detail * Ability to work with diverse groups * Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment. * Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools. * Strong customer service and client focus * Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software * 2 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 2+ years maintenance management experience; 1+ years in a leadership role * Demonstrated basic electrical and mechanical skills (i.e. schematic fundamentals) * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Ability to drive solutions to planning issues with direction from senior management * Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required * Effective analytical, planning and organizational skills * Demonstrated leadership and people management skills * Demonstrated ability to work with a team and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction * Lead or participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format Education: Geographical Location: Minnesota:Rochester Physical Location: Rochester, MN Shift: Shift 1 Work Sche ule: M-F 0800-1700 Full Time Export Control: This job position may include access to controlled information or technology covered under applicable U.S. export control laws.
