Title: Research Analyst & Paraplanner
Reports to: Director of Operations
Location: Rochester, MN
Hours: 8am-5pm
Position Summary
The Investment Analyst plays a key role in supporting our financial advisors and clients. This position involves managing and developing investment models, assisting in the creation of financial plans and reports, processing securities trade orders, and answering product-related inquiries. Additionally, the Investment Analyst will help with client meeting preparation and assist with forms and transactions related to financial accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide technical support to Associate Advisors and assist with client-facing activities (in a non-advice capacity)
Gather and analyze data, build financial models, design case scenarios, and support the development of comprehensive financial plans
Participate in client meetings alongside Associate Advisors, providing logistical and analytical support
Enter data into financial planning software and assist in preparing draft financial plans
Develop custom analyses to guide client decision-making on financial matters
Prepare and update presentation materials for client meetings
Conduct research and provide insights on investment options, portfolio strategies, and manager recommendations
Ensure clients receive timely, accurate information about their investments, and proactively resolve any questions or issues
Assist with maintaining client relationships, including processing requests and keeping client documentation current
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Leadership Team
Qualifications
Securities (7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration required
Strong proficiency with business tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
Solid understanding of economic trends, financial regulations, and factors that influence client investments
Ability to build and manage financial models and conduct investment analysis
High level of professionalism and ability to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive client information
Career Progression
- This position offers potential growth within the practice, with opportunities to advance to roles such as Associate Advisor or Team Lead.
Compensation
- Starting salary of $65,000, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
