Responsibilities
Division Chair – Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Occupational Medicine
Mission
Mayo Clinic is searching for a visionary, strategic and inspirational leader to serve as the chair of its world-class Division of Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Occupational Medicine (PHIDOM) at its Destination Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Rochester is Mayo Clinic's largest practice site with a historical educational environment with Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and active residency and fellowship programs. The PHIDOM division chair will be expected to leverage Mayo Clinic's resources to advance patient care, lead the division’s research efforts and educate and develop future Infectious Diseases and Preventive and Occupational Medicine physicians.

Drive innovation across Mayo Clinic's three shields: Practice, Education and Research
Foster collaboration across the organization to provide the best patient outcomes
Effective management that will align with Mayo Clinic’s 2030 strategy of identifying new cures for patients, connections through a digital strategy, and transformational business models
Recruit top-tier staff to sustain Mayo Clinic’s vision of being the most trusted partner in healthcare
Ideal Candidate Profile
Board certified in Infectious Diseases or Preventive/Occupational Medicine
Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor
Demonstrated track record of accomplishments in innovation, research and/or clinical practice
Proven successful leader
Strong understanding of clinical practice
Proven ability to mentor a group of diverse faculty covering all levels of experience
Ability to build relationships and network globally
Effectively develop others, recruit and retain talent and have an understanding and appreciation for creating and supporting diverse teams
