Job Description:
In the Cell Kinetics lab, we test for leukemia and lymphoma. The samples received are typically blood, bone marrow, and tissue specimens. The lab operates in an 'assembly line' format where samples move through various stages, including pipetting, aliquotting, centrifuging, and adding chemicals to isolate white blood cells. The isolated white blood cells are then stained with antibodies and run on flow cytometers. Technicians will be trained on three different benches initially, with opportunities to train on over ten additional benches as permanent employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipetting, aliquotting, centrifuging, and adding chemicals to samples to isolate white blood cells.
Staining white blood cells with antibodies.
Running stained cells on flow cytometers.
Training on three different benches initially, with opportunities for further training on additional benches.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a human biological science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, Marine Biology, Neuroscience).
Experience with laboratory practices in a college, research, or clinical setting a plus but not required.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
