As our new Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the accounting, forecasting, and budget needs for a dedicated business unit while also overseeing their project financials. You will work closely with senior management and project managers, covering a broad range of financial based topics and tasks. You will need to rely on your strong communication, analytical and technical skills to get the job done. Primary responsibilities will include:
Work with project management team to oversee project financial and administrative aspects, ultimately ensuring invoicing and revenue recognition accuracy and margin performance versus budget
Report to Executive staff on project accounting performance, operating expenses, and forecasting
Support financial analyst on project review
Ad Hoc reporting or assignments for Finance senior management
Research project cost and resolve issues
Compile sales and relevant financial data monthly to create a financial forecast model
Perform trend and “what if” analysis on forecast data
Support assigned selling groups with reporting and analysis
Monitor and implement processes to support assigned execution groups to achieve their financial measures and targets
Communicate effectively with management regarding financial trends and improvement ideas
Support assigned groups with annual operating expense budgeting
Perform assigned month end close project accounting and reporting Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
BS/BA Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years progressive accounting and financial analysis experience in a corporate environment
Aptitude to learn and work with various financial systems and databases (i.e. Oracle, SQL, etc.)
Experience in preparing and delivering professional presentations to varied levels of executive leadership Preferred:
Experience working with senior management
Manufacturing / Automotive Industry experience
