This role will be responsible for leading and upholding the company's health and safety (H&S) policies and programs, as well as managing and maintaining the office's Profit and Loss (P&L) to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality work that meets industry standards and applicable regulations. The Operations Manager will ensure that each service line produces profitable work in a safe, organized, and cost-effective manner.Reporting directly to the Northeast Regional Vice President, this position will serve as an exceptional people leader, inspiring and empowering each team member to reach their full potential. This role will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including:Functional Management of Staff * Shape and drive a culture of excellence, fostering an environment where team members are motivated, engaged, and committed to achieving success together. * Mentor the People Managers and monitor overall staff morale. * Develop annual staff performance goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to improve performance. * Work with People Managers and HR to develop corrective action plans for underperforming employees. * Align with other Northeast Operations Managers and MES Leadership regarding technical training and certification plans for the office.Operations Management * Expected to work in the office environment managing and coaching the team on a daily basis. * Develop, manage, and track the office targets/objectives to ensure they are in line with the strategic growth plan and budget. * Develop/implement strategic and tactical plans to meet established financial KPIs. * Manage the office backlog through completion of monthly project estimate to completes and review of potential sales pipeline. * Forecast resource performance and needs on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and communicate with regional leadership. * Responsible for the office overall P&L including targeted Net Service Revenue and targeted Net Labor Multiplier. * Schedule routine planning meetings with the team to discuss workload, forecast, and corporate initiatives as communicated by the Regional VP. * Hire staff and procure any capital equipment based on marketing and financial projections through coordination with the Regional VP.Client and Project Management * Partner with the other Northeast Operations Managers and the Client Development Team to designate project managers for projects. * Support Client Development Team and Project Managers across all service lines to assign preferred project staffing and resolve any staffing conflicts and performance issues. * Collaborate with the Client Development Team on proposal development and staffing with external entities to meet objectives. This includes go/no go decisions, scoping, and resource allocation reviews. * Establish and meet a booked revenue goal to maintain the office and Northeast Region objectives. * Maintain confidentiality at all times. * Initiate and lead safe work practices by following all safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs. * Keep up-to-date and current on industry and market trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attTo view the full job description, click here>
