Job Summary

The primary function of a Field Install Technician is to safely perform and participate in the installation of Class II narrow aisle material handling equipment. This includes the stand-up and/or lay-down of equipment that has been cradled or palletized for transport. This includes the transport of equipment cradles and supplies to the customer or jobsite using company provided truck (class C) and trailer as needed. The Field Install Technician will conduct overall inspection to verify the equipment, cradle, and tools are up to safety standards and make recommendations on any required repairs. Must have good communication skills and world class customer service.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate daily schedule with multiple departments within organization
  2. Provide excellent customer service at the site
  3. Communicate with the customer upon arrival and update as needed
  4. Inspect the forklift and/or issues upon delivery or return of equipment
  5. Provide internal/external customer full report on condition of equipment
  6. Quality control each job to ensure completeness, verify the equipment is up to safety standards
  7. Communicate with customer and dispatch on job completion
  8. Clean the area after work is completed
  9. Inspect company vehicle and initiate necessary scheduled maintenance per service manual guidelines
  10. Drive in a safe and courteous manner
  11. Complete and submit all work orders every day through electronic tablets that are issued to you
  12. Enter necessary information on work orders, work order summary and any additional documentation that may be required
  13. Company issued vehicle must be kept clean, orderly, and present a professional image to our customers
  14. All additional duties as assigned
