Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our production facility in Roanoke, VA. The successful candidate will manage the departmental operations within a highly automated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and directing employees to ensure compliance with production and quality goals, safety policies, and company rules.

• Coordinating maintenance repair work and ensuring equipment is kept in proper working condition.

• Using problem-solving and critical thinking techniques to improve process and safety issues.

• Organizing production schedules to ensure the maximum utilization of equipment and personnel.

• Ensuring production inventory accuracy, conducting periodic physical counts, and processing adjustment requests.

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Computer literacy

• Mechanical aptitude

• Supervision and management skills

• Experience with troubleshooting, mechanical, general maintenance, maintenance repair, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2-year degree

• Preferred 4-year Bachelor's degree

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and robotics is a plus

• Knowledge of welding and fabrication

• Familiarity with power tools, blow torches, and cutoff wheels

• The desire and ability to grow within the company

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and involves working in a highly automated manufacturing facility. The facility is dusty and non-climate controlled. Training shifts will be 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for the first few weeks, and the regular shift after training will be 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on a continental schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on and 3 days off).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25
