TEKsystems client in Roanoke VA is in need of an Oracle PLSQL Developer to support critical systems pertaining to manufacturing and supply chain. This role will support, maintain, improve, modify, and further develop their Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as needed for sustaining production at their plant in Roanoke, VA.

Day-to-Day:

• Gather and document customer requirements for MES system through client interviews, documentation analysis and Work Flow Process Mapping.

• Assist with process definition, sequence of operations, and human factors considered for manufacturing operations

• Provide technical input to help troubleshoot issues during MES usage.

• Supporting requirements from Operations - 80% of time spent will be developing solutions

• Supporting new requirements from central IT - 20% of time spent supporting software upgrades and MES upgrades for central IT

Experience required:

1. PL/SQL Development experience

• Generating packages, stored procedures, views.

• Pulling data using PL/SQL

• Modifying existing PL/SQL logic, writing new logic, performance tuning

2. Java or C# or OOP experience

• The MES system has it's own proprietary language similar to Java.

3. Experience in manufacturing industry or specific experience with MES (manufacturing execution systems)

Nice to have:

1. Angular experience for front-end development

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day technical support (incident management, updates, system monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution, etc.) that help optimize manufacturing processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.

• Working with vendors or other IT groups when issues arise or when opportunities for improvement are available.

• Develop and maintain web services and interfaces, contribute the front-end and back-end development process and infrastructure for the MES. This includes communications between the MES and ERP, PLCs as well as other data sources.

• Providing technical input to help troubleshoot issues in other areas during MES usage.

• Implementation of enhancements at the factory for all phases of the deployments (requirements gathering, definitions, test, implementation, etc.), interfacing with operations, quality, process engineering, control engineering and product development areas.

• Professional Certificate (Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information System or related Field)

• Advanced English
