Eaton Corporation 2nd Shift Inventory Control in Roanoke, Virginia

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Inventory Control. The core hours are 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. The hourly rate for this position is $20.08 per hour. There is an additional $1.25 shift differential pay for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:

The Inventory Control Associate monitors daily inventory discrepancies, assists with cycle counts, and manages location accuracy issues as they arise throughout their shift. Inventory Control Associates must maintain a safe work environment while operating powered industrial equipment and handle boxes of various sizes and weights.

  • Lift products manually to place them on to work surfaces.

  • Must be willing to operate multiple powered industrial equipment such as stand up/sit down forklifts, the electric pallet jack, and order picker.

  • Communicate with coworkers to share expertise.

  • Follow safety procedures for equipment to reduce potential for accidents.

  • Use box cutters to cut packaging materials.

  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning.

  • Communicate with supervisors to resolve conflicts.

  • Use RF (Radio Frequency) units to scan barcodes.

  • Pull inventory requisitions.

  • Clear daily inventory discrepancies (report) and maintain high levels of accuracy.

  • Investigate/resolve daily inventory problems.

  • Assist Inventory Control Specialist with required assignments.

  • Transfer/adjust order cancellations and return goods inventory.

  • Perform bin checks and cycle counts.

  • Operate MHE

  • Operate and update Cubiscan.

  • Assist with material transfer between Assembly and the Distribution Center

Qualifications:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six (6) months warehouse experience.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Roanoke, VA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inventory experience

Success Criteria:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours.

  • Able to perform constant movement of the arms
