Parsons Corporation Senior Project Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager to join our team!

In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of the assigned project's business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions.

  • Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

  • Establishes the program requirements for all project areas and monitors the draft and final deliverables to ensure adherence to these criteria.

  • After careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths, assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates.

  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.

  • Markets and secures additional work with clients.

  • Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.

  • Responsible for developing and distributing a project summary to all members of the project team for reference.

  • Provides input on performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.

  • Mobilizes company resources through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.

  • Discuss the qualifications required for the key project positions with the profit center and department managers.

  • Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.

  • Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for a project's various elements.

  • Works with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of changes.

  • Responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.

  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence in the project by applying quality assurance processes.

  • Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement, payroll operations, etc.

  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions that would affect project cost or schedule.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field

  • 15+ years of related work experience is required and previous project management experience on similar or related projects

  • Professional registration may also be required

  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions that would affect project cost or schedule.

  • Familiarity with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities

  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
