Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install and maintain production machines and equipment, perform emergency and unscheduled repairs, and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Additionally, you will perform plumbing maintenance, carpentry functions, and assist in process troubleshooting repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and equipment.

• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Assist in process troubleshooting repairs.

• Set up and operate machine tools, make and repair dies.

• Set up, maintain, and operate equipment in a manufacturing and assembling environment.

• Prep tooling for production, sharpen tooling, knives, punches, etc.

• Repair or modify tools and dies using Vertical Mill, Horizontal Mill, Drill Press, Lathe, Surface Grinder, and hand tools.

Essential Skills

• 1-2+ years of PLC troubleshooting experience.

• 4+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.

• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.

• Experience with troubleshooting, repair, and installation of machinery.

• Basic controls knowledge and ability to build from the ground up.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.

• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled, clean, and well-lit, providing a comfortable working environment. You will work with a mix of old French-built machinery, presses, and headers, primarily in an automotive-based setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Rives Junction, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00
