The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit. Provides shift leadership and support to the Imaging staff.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable”

· Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner

· Prepares patient for exam.

· Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs

· Assists the patient during exam and positions the patient.

· Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Two year of experience performing Interventional Rad Tech duties Previous leadership experience, preferred.

· High School Diploma or GED

· For entities with shortages of qualified personnel, must be obtained within 24 months of hire; otherwise, is required: Registered Technologist, Radiology, Vascular-Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular- Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI) (ARRT) or R.T. (R) (CV) (ARRT).

· BLS

· Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist Registry upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active license, certification, or registration (required for employed staff only)
