Job Title: Civil 3D DesignerJob Description

We are actively seeking a talented Civil 3D Designer to join our expanding Water Resources Group. You will play a critical role in designing and building solutions that impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities. This position offers flexibility to work in Tampa, West Palm Beach, or fully remote within Florida.

Responsibilities

• Focus on large environmental restoration projects involving embankment systems, levees, reservoirs, pump stations, stream channel restoration, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues, and stormwater collection systems.

• Prepare design drawings in Civil 3D.

• Perform other duties as needed, including communication with clients, generating new business opportunities, managing subconsultants and staff, and water modeling.

Essential Skills

• 7+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting experience.

• Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Experience with large earthwork projects, alignments, corridors, and sheet set manager.

• Ability to create and manipulate surfaces and corridors using Civil 3D.

• Experience with design and bid packages, including design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is a plus.

• Training and experience in standard hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, ICPR, GEOSLOPE) is a plus.

• Experience with InfraWorks, GIS, standard hydrologic data analysis software, and sediment transport modeling is preferred.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and with a project team.

• Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of personal integrity and strong work ethic.

• Passionate about delivering exceptional work and responsive service to clients.

Work Environment

Client is a leading provider of engineering, consulting, and program management services that enhance infrastructure and environment throughout Florida. With offices in Tampa, Tallahassee, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, they serve multiple state agencies, various municipalities, and numerous private sector clients throughout the region. This position is remote, but proximity to one of their offices is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr.
