Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of organization engaged in sale of professional equipment and supplies, and providing customer services, to organizations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compiles accurate sales forecasts and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed expansion.
- Provides input into product research and development.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Plans and directs sales and service programs to promote new markets, improve competitive position in area, and
provide fast and efficient customer service.
Confers with potential customer to ascertain equipment, supplies, and service needs
Represents company at trade shows and marketing events to promote product and talk to potential customers.
Advises customer on types of equipment to purchase, considering such factors as costs, space availability, and intended use.
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in sales and service accounting and recordkeeping, and receiving and shipping operations.
Reviews articles in trade publications to keep abreast of technological developments
Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies, and services.
Review and interpret customer inquiries and leads.
Work with customers and sales representatives to discuss, refine, and ultimately sell standard industrial equipment.
Complete special projects, as assigned.
