A leading manufacturing company in Suffolk County, NY, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their team of skilled technicians. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery, electrical systems, and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. You will manage a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring the timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining high safety standards. Please if interested!

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently.

• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback to staff.

• Ensure team adherence to company policies, safety standards, and best maintenance practices.

• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure all machinery and equipment function optimally.

• Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Coordinate emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime and production delays.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Work closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous plant operations.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules to reduce disruption to production processes.

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems.

• Ensure all maintenance operations comply with OSHA, environmental, and other safety regulations.

• Enforce safe work practices, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure adherence to PPE requirements.

• Investigate maintenance-related incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure that lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed to ensure worker safety during maintenance activities.

• Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.
