Scope of Job

Graduate Teaching Assistants will be assigned to specific faculty and their responsibilities will vary with the needs of the the department or course section.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Students who are assigned to a specific faculty member are eligible for the Graduate Teaching Assistance award. Duties will vary based on the project and allocated duties and will be relevant to the student’s subject of study. Graduate Teaching Assistants may also serve as lab assistants, graders, creative activity facilitators, and/or in other capacities that aid faculty members in the department’s instructional activities. Graduate Teaching Assistants may be assigned to any Division of the University’s professional staff. Duties will be connected to the student’s subject of study and will vary based on the projects and duties allocated to the student. Graduate students will work 20 hours each week with a variable schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

The Graduate Teaching Assistant position is available to full-time graduate students, preferably those in good academic standing and in the Mathematical & Statistical Sci.
