Robert Half is currently seeking a punctual and diligent Accounts Payable Clerk for an exciting assignment with a municipality client located in lower Fairfield County, CT. This role will consist of reviewing all accounts payable vouchers for correctness and proper authorization, among other tasks. The position requires on-site attendance five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thorough review of all accounts payable vouchers for correctness and proper authorization.

• Preparation of vouchers for the Finance Department.

• Generation of journal entries, supporting documentation, and necessary reports.

• Processing of payable files and weekly Treasurer authorization.

• Management of P-card transactions.

Ideal Candidate Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Previous experience in Munis is a MUST.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated ability in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Voucher system

• Ability to prepare and process Journal Entries

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting skills.
