We are seeking an experienced and strategic Program Manager to lead and oversee a software development team responsible for ensuring seamless software and product releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. This role requires someone who can drive process improvements, ensure timely delivery, and manage multiple releases across complex and dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, testers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide direction, set clear goals, and monitor performance to ensure individual and team success.

Release Planning and Execution:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of software and product releases across multiple projects and teams.

  • Establish and maintain release calendars, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Ensure release processes are followed, and all dependencies and risks are identified and mitigated.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a central point of communication between engineering, product management, quality assurance, operations, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Facilitate alignment on release objectives, schedules, and priorities with all stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze and refine release management processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Introduce automation and other innovations to streamline workflows and reduce release cycle times.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the release lifecycle.

  • Implement mitigation strategies and provide timely resolutions to ensure successful delivery.

Reporting and Metrics:

  • Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to track the performance of the release management process.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on release status, challenges, and successes.

Change Management:

  • Ensure all releases comply with change management processes and standards.

  • Communicate changes effectively to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, release management, or related roles, with at least 2 years managing teams.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with release management tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
