Robert Half Supply Chain Clerk in Richmond, Virginia

Description We are in search of a Supply Chain Clerk to join our healthcare team in Richmond, Virginia. The primary function of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate management of hospital inventory, including the delivery of supplies to various hospital departments and vendor liaisons. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of hospital supplies

• Delivering supplies to different hospital departments promptly and accurately

• Assisting with the placement of orders for medical supplies as necessary

• Maintaining regular communication with vendors for supply inventory

• Handling warehouse duties, which include unpacking supplies and moving boxes

• Tracking inventory to prevent overstock and outages

• Ensuring a well-organized and clean warehouse environment

• Participating in supply chain logistics to improve operational efficiency

• Adhering to all healthcare industry regulations and standards in supply management. Requirements • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a role related to supply chain, preferably within the healthcare industry/NHS.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in supply chain management.

• Familiarity with warehouse duties and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse environment.

• Experience in warehouse inventory management, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper storage of supplies.

• Proficiency in managing supplies inventory, with an emphasis on maintaining adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.

• Ability to track inventory effectively, with a focus on ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly documented.

• Experience in managing vendor inventory, including placing orders, receiving goods, and managing relationships with vendors.

• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, including the coordination of goods from suppliers to end users.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operation of the supply chain.
