Description We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team located in Richmond, Virginia, 23294, United States. This role focuses on the processing and maintaining of financial records, including the management of customer credit applications and records, within a high-paced, high volume environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments.

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate record keeping.

• Manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify accuracy.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and other related tasks.

• Perform month-end close activities on a regular basis.

• Manage payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.

• Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping and general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) accounting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrable skills in Bookkeeping and Data Entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and experience in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential

• Must possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Should have a strong work ethic and demonstrate integrity and confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
